Sectoral events, inaugural meetings, and international summits are now featured on the G20 Social Calendar. The calendar—which includes 13 engagement groups focused on different topics and with different participation structures—is now available on the official G20 website. Keeping an eye on organized civil society activities within the world's largest economies has never been easier.

The calendar is available in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and highlights upcoming events across several Brazilian capitals. It also affords transparency to past meetings, and serves as a record of the Brazilian G20 presidency's hallmark initiative: the G20 Social, which supports engagement groups and connects them to discussions within the Finance and Sherpa tracks.

“Making this agenda available is important because it reflects Brasil's efforts to encourage civil society’s participation in the G20, and to establish this as a legacy. This is evident in the numerous initiatives that have been organized by civil society, and in the evolving dynamics of the engagement groups' activities. So the consolidation of this calendar, a living document, underscores the effort to promote popular engagement," stated Gustavo Westmann, international advisor to the General Secretariat of Brazil’s Presidency and coordinator of G20 Social.
