The discussions at the G20 side event on information integrity will resume this Wednesday (May 1)  in São Paulo. The panels will convene experts, authorities, and global leaders to address several critical issues. These include combatting misinformation, addressing climate change, regulating the digital services market, protecting elections and public institutions, addressing hate speech, and promoting media literacy education.

The lineup of speakers will include Camille Grenier, Chief Operating Officer of the Information and Democracy Forum; Elsa Pilichowski, Director of Public Governance at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD); Chengetai Masango, Director of the Secretariat of the Internet Governance Forum; Pansy Tlakula, Chairperson of South Africa's information regulatory body, alongside other distinguished experts.

The event is organized by the G20 Digital Economy Working Group, in collaboration with the Social Communication Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic of Brasil and the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
