The Third Meeting of the Environment Deputies Meeting and Climate Sustainability (3rd EDM-CSWG) will be held on 29 – 30 August 2022 and continued with the Joint Environment and Climate Ministers’ Meeting (JECMM) which will be held on 31 August 2022 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Bali.
It is estimated that more than 200 delegates, 20 Ministers/Ministerial level from 20 G20 member countries, invited countries, and international organizations will be present in person at the meeting which will discuss the Environmental and Climate Communique.
At the end of the event, all delegates will be invited to enjoy the natural beauty and cultural wealth of Bali in several locations including Penglipuran Customary Village and Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park.

This week, the 3rd Development Working Group (DWG) Meeting and series of DWG Side Events will be held on 8-12 August 2022 in Bali.
The 3rd DWG Meeting held by the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas will continue to discuss crucial global development agenda. The result of this meeting will be the basis for the next Development Ministerial Meeting in September.
To support wellness tourism, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is holding a #G20Indonesia side event “International Wellness Tourism Conference & Festival” (IWTCF) 2022 in Solo, Central Java.
Carrying the theme, “A Sustainability Strategy for The World Tourism Recovery and Growth through Wellness Tourism for All” and from conferences, workshops, to business matching between business players and potential investors, this activity will have a variety of events to support the world’s recovery.

It’s less than 7 days until the 2nd EDM-CSWG, with more than 100 delegates from 20 member countries which will be held on 19-22 June 2022 in Jakarta.
The EDM-CSWG agenda has strategic significance for Indonesia in the G20 Forum to show Indonesia’s capability in environmental management and climate change.
The 2nd EDM CSWG resume the 1st EDM CSWG discussion in Yogyakarta, among them are related to sustainable consumption for EDM and discussion of Building Blocks for CSWG. The results of the discussion in Jakarta are expected to become modalities for EDM-CSWG Ministerial Joint Communique in Bali.

The G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) will be held in Bali on July 7-8, 2022. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia is organizing the meeting within the framework of Indonesia G20 Presidency.
Guided by the theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”, The G20 FMM 2022 aims to enhance further collaboration through dialogue to revive multilateralism in addressing global challenges.
Media who have already completed the G20 Indonesia Presidency accreditation process will need to register to the event using their existing account. Please log in to your account via https://registration.g20-indonesia.id/deo-login.

The EDM-CSWG upcoming meeting will discuss three priority issues, and they are:
- Supporting more sustainable recovery;
- Enhancing land-and-sea based actions to support environment and climate objectives; and
- Enhancing resource mobilization to support environment protection and climate objectives
